The Village

1. The  village
The grave yard seemed empty as the dull sky seem to show no life almost making the atmosphere surrounding him completely dead. The boy wondered off into the empty surface hoping to find what he came for as the other kids watch form a distance as they saw him vanish in to the thicken fog . the kids didn’t lose faith  as they saw a small Farley thin figure come  back from the densely thicken fog  that surrounded the entire  place   holding of what they  had intended to have back but as the figure came closer it wasn’t what it had seemed.
Seasons seemed to go by quick for the small town as the people seemed to never to forget their losses.

The sun shone down through thicken forest above through into the front windshield of the old CRV  as it drove down the narrow cracked road into an old town. the car stop by  a rusty old building  that was the town’s only  gas station. Two small girls and their older brother got out first. It had been a very long day for the family and the kids where all quit glad to get out of there cramped condition of a car joseph was the eldest of the three as Emily and rose were his baby sister and where already running around playing in the confined vicinity of the outback of the building that was fenced in with the old rusted wire fencing  that seemed to almost surround the place if not most of it wasn’t decayed and had falling over surround with the foliage that had over run the  vicinity. An old willow tree hung down over the broken down building as the sun started to go it was getting late   and the family wanted for a place to stay for the night until they got back onto the road the next morning. They were told of place that sits by a grave yard but little did they know of what would come from that night.
They drove past and into the small town.  The town itself looked run down as not much was even available as most shops seemed to have been shut down due to the lack of profit that was made there as most where burnt down shells of what was left of the buildings that had rotten over time the place seemed to show no life insight of the few people that where walking around but it dullness of grey somehow over took everything in its path. What was left of it where only it’s people who had lived there? The road seemed to have led nowhere as the day turned into night and the path grew narrower just when they had decided to turn back they had somehow driven into the old village again as they drove by the old gas station finely they pull up outside of an old building   that was called the Conner’s hotel it seemed occupied with the light shining form the windows with few figures going past inside.

The room felt warm as the couple walk in with the two girls in the arms fast asleep there got greeted by an elderly couple who ran the Conner’s hotel   they   seemed very helpful  as they help get the family shorted out  for the night  then had prep and nice hot dinner for them.  They got told at dinner of the history of this place  and  had been gotten passed down from  Conner great  grandfather himself  when  he was a youngest working for the his family back then and the hotel  had been In the family since then  after nice cup of tea and  biscuits ever one was off to bed  it was around 3:30 am when one of the kids had been woken up form a loud  noise that had come for outside the hall   the father was woken up from the noise to but told  the daughter to go back to sleep as it wasn’t anything to worry about it was around ten minutes later  when they heard it again  what it sounded like now people moving furniture  form up stairs  wasn’t at all when they got out of bed  a low moaning  hissing noise   had been herd form right outside the front door but quickly  vanished   the father went out in the hall to see if there had been any one who had come out of there rooms .
He  noticed that all of the door on his level  had been unlock  and opened  to find no one in the rooms as he expected .earlier on  that night there  where the only one with the elderly couple in the hotel  thinking most had gone to their rooms as  no door seemed to be opened when they went to bed. He got back and told his wife of it and had both had now gone down stairs now to see if anyone had was down. there  was nothing  only silence that had fallen over the place  suddenly     the son  came rushing  down stairs telling them to make sure the front door had been lock  and to get back upstairs  they soon discovered the villager where all outside  the  front of the grave yard that was across the street as  their mouths seemed to un hinged  like a snakes  as a single eye look out  form the black ooze that  was coming from the hole. A thick mist lurked over the grave as the creatures vanished in to it leaving the place silent once more.  But it did not stay the way for long as they herd the hissing noise once more but coming from within their room. The father turned to see an old pale thin crusted man crawling form underneath one of their beds right toward them as the creature now had it eyes locked on one of the girls.
The black stuff coming from the creature mouth seemed to melt the floorboards away as the family   tried to rush for the door the monster had already gotten it first victim for the night the girl screamed as the flesh melted away from her bones leaving nothing of her leg behind it was too late to turn back as the thing already claimed prize of her the eye came further out of the throat as it  tried to see it’s next meal  it tried spitting the black ooze once more  to catch it next victim but they had lucky escaped  it  but it wasn’t long  as it got up on  it two legs and ran straight towards them  as the stuff had drip down now on the next victims head on to the staircase there wasn’t any time to go back for the father as  son turn to see his dad face melted  away  they headed out to the back   though the fire exit door  as  they got in to the car and drove away  in to the night never to be heard from again.

A file report case got put out to find the lost family only a few month after they went missing. it wasn’t long  until the case was final closed finding them dead inside of their hotel room expected murder of the family was put on trail
The heavy dense fog never lifted as the family kept driving though out it until they arrived to a  village  It had been a very long day for the family and the kids where all quit glad to get out of there cramped condition of a car.
